When I first established BareAdvice Consulting I used a quote, being “‘We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them” by Albert Einstein, as part of my mantra.
Little did I realise that within a year, we would witness the world events that we have. These events and their profound ramifications will change our lives and change how we view others, for the better.
The business world is changing at a pace which is unseen in history. The ’new normal’ has become a phrase that is banded about when ’normal’ doesn’t exist, what is the ’new normal?’
I do not intend to speculate, other than to say none of us have the answers to this, but collectively businesses and individuals can make a difference and help provide the stability that they need when facing such challenges that the ’new normal’ represents.
The industries I serve are, in comparison with many, relatively fortunate, in the main, as we deal with friends, clients and suppliers worldwide and we are alert to the changes and different pressures they are under in their corner of the globe. International trade does draw us closer to together, and because of this we can ride out these uncertain times and make a difference to those around us. We learn more about the globe whilst enjoying what we do for a living, long may that continue on.
